Howdy friends, Doc here! So, the story goes that some of my siblings have found their families, and yet here I am still waiting for a family to love me and take me home. I’ve come a long way since joining these nice people at the Village!

I’m now almost 4 months old, I’ve had all my vaccines, even my rabies vaccine! So, you know what that means?? Now I get to go for WALKS! Well let’s be honest, I don’t love that thing my foster mom calls a leash, it stops me from being adventurous and free. But I’m working on it, and I know it means I get to go for a walk, so I’m learning it’s not such a bad thing! Shall we talk about the crate? Well, it’s not so bad! You know what? When my foster mom says “crate Doc” I know now if I run to the crate and sit in it quietly, I’ll get a treat! YAY ME!! I settle quickly as crate time is quiet time, and before I know it my foster mom is back to let me out to do my business and have some play time! It’s not so bad.

I’m super smart and love treats, so I’m looking for a family that is willing to continue training me to do neat tricks! The vet thinks I maybe something called a lowrider, that means my body is longer, thicker, but my legs are short and stocky. It doesn’t stop me from chasing my fur friends around in my foster home though. I love playing with dogs. I haven’t met a cat yet, but I’m pretty sure I can make friends with them too. So, if you know of a family out there looking for a short, smart, lovable guy, be sure to tell them Doc is here waiting for them.

I know my next adventure awaits; they just need to find me
