Meet Hugo! The Lovable Work-in-Progress Puppy!

Hi there! My name is Hugo, and I’m a five-month-old puppy looking for my forever home! I have a big heart, a curious mind, and lots of energy to keep you entertained. I love playing with toys (especially the hard ones!), going on adventures, and following my favorite human everywhere. I’ve even been around cats and think they’re pretty cool—I just want to sniff and play with them!

My Achievements So Far:

• I’m learning crate training! I still get a little anxious, but when I’m quiet, I get lots of praise.

• I know how to play independently and with humans—fetch, tug, you name it!

• I’m working on my leash skills (even though I sometimes try to be a crocodile and roll around).

My Work-in-Progress Areas:

• I have some separation anxiety, so I need a strong, heavy-duty crate when you’re not around.

• I get a little loud when left alone, so apartment living might not be the best fit for me.

• I’m still learning not to chew on things I shouldn’t—like shoes, gloves, and soft toys (only hard bones and black Kongs for me, please!).

My Dream Home:

• A calm, quiet, and predictable environment where I can feel safe and loved.

• A home with another playful and confident dog for me to learn from.

• Someone who is home most of the time or has experience with anxious pups like me.

• A securely fenced yard where I can run and play without worry.

• A family that will continue my training with patience and positive reinforcement.
