Current Foster Location: Arnprior, ON

Hey world, I’m Scotty — the first one to say good morning and the last one to stop wagging my tail! I might be small, but my personality can light up any room (and probably your whole street, too).
Let me be honest — I started out as a pretty scared little dude. The world seemed way too big for a pup my size. But guess what? I’ve been learning that people are safe and love can be trusted. My foster mom is my rock, and I stick to her like Velcro. Even at the vet, I made sure she was close by because she’s my safe person.
Achievements unlocked:
Learned that humans can be trusted
Master of the lick mat, especially when it’s loaded with wet food and dried liver treats
Independent toy player and world-class napper
Still working on:
Potty training — the outside world is still a little scary, but I’m getting braver every day.
Crate training — I’ll go in, but I’d rather be curled up on your lap.
Confidence — I’m learning not to be so afraid when left alone, but sometimes I still howl, bark, chew, and scratch when I feel abandoned. I promise I’m trying.
Quirks & Flaws:
Counter surfer extraordinaire (don’t let the short legs fool you).
Destructive tendencies when left alone — I’m still a baby and the world’s pretty exciting.
Separation anxiety — I just love my people so much, being apart is hard.
I see cats and small critters as toys, so a cat-free home is a must.
Dream Home:
A patient family who understands that love and trust take time.
A secure, fenced yard would be ideal — this world can feel overwhelming without safe boundaries.
Another dog sibling would be a bonus (I grew up with a big dog family) but I’d do fine solo too, as long as I get lots of attention.
Children should be older (10+) and calm, since fast movements and tiny humans make me a little nervous.
Someone with room in their lap, their heart, and a stash of liver treats.
I’ve got so much love to give and I’m hoping for a forever family who can see past my fears and cheer on all my little victories. Could that be you?
